I still get frustrated because it takes a long time and still do not look great. So I practice and practice and practice. Still not so good LOL, but someday I will get better. I hope ! This is fantastic advice. When you get down to it, this applies quite universally in art, not just photo retouching. A lot of aspiring artists don't understand the importance of mastering the basics and are more interested in copying the look of a pro and how to get it as easy and fast as possible with shortcuts and memorizing formulas that they then apply to everything. But art is not formulaic, and all this along with their lack of foundation does show in their work. I wish more people could appreciate this, keep up the good work!
